Balms and creams for joints, muscles, and spine.
Joint balms and creams
A joint cream is a kind and gentle massage for the knees, shoulders, back and wrists that carry the weight of movement all day. Herbal balms with comfrey, marsh cinquefoil, bee venom or chondroitin gently warm or cool the area and give joints and muscles a feeling of comfort.

How to choose a joint balm
A warming balm will be appreciated by stiff backs and knees on cold days. You can choose from the gel with formic acid and comfrey, Iskérky with comfrey and bee venom or the Muchomor balm with seven active ingredients.
A cooling gel refreshes after sport and long walks – for example the cooling gel balm with devil's claw, arnica and menthol. The 911 massage gel with chondroitin smells of juniper, eucalyptus and thyme, and for regular massages for the whole family there is the large Vitateka with chondroitin and glucosamine.

How to use a joint balm
Apply the balm to clean skin around the joint and massage it in with circular movements for three to five minutes, until absorbed. Repeat the massage two to three times a day. After a warming balm, give the area warmth and calm – wrap your knee or shoulder in a woollen scarf and rest for a while.
Warming or cooling joint cream?
Warming balms with camphor, chilli pepper or bee venom suit stiff backs, necks and knees, especially in the morning and in cold weather. Cooling gels with menthol and eucalyptus are lovely after sport, a hike or work in the garden, when you want to give your muscles a fresh feeling. Many people keep both at home.
Cream for muscles and back
The balms in this category are not only for joints. A light gel is also suited to a relaxing massage of the neck, shoulders and lower back after long hours at the computer. Ask someone close to you to massage your back – two hands and a few quiet minutes are a small gift for the body.
When to talk to a doctor
A joint balm is skin care and a moment of comfort, not a substitute for treatment. If a joint is swollen, red or something has been troubling you for a longer time, visit a doctor. Do not apply the balms to damaged skin or mucous membranes, and if you are allergic to bee products, choose balms without bee venom.
