How to choose a pumice stone and a washing sponge
The pumice stone with brush brings two helpers together in one. With the pumice stone you gently smooth hardened skin on the heels and soles, while the brush on the other side is handy for cleansing your feet. Then soften your skin with a foot cream.
Konjac sponges have a very soft texture, which is why they suit cleansing both the face and the body. The natural loofah is made for a body scrub. For a gentle renewal of the skin you can also reach for a scrub.

How to use a pumice stone for the heels
A pumice stone works best on softened skin. First soak your feet in warm water for about ten minutes, or use the pumice stone at the end of your shower. Then glide the pumice stone over the heels and hardened areas of the soles in circular movements, without heavy pressure. Rinse your feet, dry them and massage in a cream. Once or twice a week is enough; your skin needs time to renew itself.
How to look after a pumice stone
After each use, rinse the pumice stone under running water and brush the bits of skin out of its tiny pores. Then let it dry in an airy place, not in a closed container. Keep your pumice stone and washing sponge for your own use only.
Konjac sponge or loofah
The konjac sponge is made from the plant fibres of the konjac root. It soaks up water and a soft layer of water forms on its surface, so it is kind to the skin even when washing the face. The loofah is firmer and suits a body scrub in the shower, after which your skin feels soft to the touch. After use, squeeze out both sponges and let them dry.
Foot care in autumn and winter
In closed shoes and with the heating on, the skin on the heels dries out easily. After the pumice stone, wrap it in a nourishing foot cream or a body butter, and put on cotton socks for the night.
