Tanning butters
Butters for tanning
A tanning butter is a solid balm that softens in your palms and melts on the skin into a soft oil. Our summer butters made with shea and cocoa butter, coconut oil and golden seaweed nourish the skin and support a deep, long-lasting tan.

How to choose a tanning butter
For a golden tan there is the Mucuru® summer butter with urucum seeds, naturally rich in beta-carotene, and an oriental-floral scent of exotic fruit and amber. If you want a deep bronze tone, reach for the Orešák summer butter made from a maceration of green walnuts in olive oil. It smells of coconut and chocolate, and the bronze-gold particles highlight the tan even more.
The butters contain no UV filter and do not replace a sun protection product with SPF. The sun oils have a lighter texture.

How to use a tanning butter
Take a little butter from the jar and warm it in your palms until it softens and spreads more easily. Spread a thin layer over clean skin on the body and let it absorb. The butter contains no UV filter and does not protect against the sun. For a longer stay in the sun, apply it therefore over a sun protection product with SPF, and seek shade between 11 am and 3 pm.
A butter or a sun oil?
The butter is firmer, softens in your palms first and forms a nourishing layer on the skin. It suits those who like rich care and a scent that recalls summer. An oil-based tanning activator spreads more easily and absorbs more quickly. You can combine the two, for example an oil for the whole body and a butter for the areas that tan more slowly.
Shea and cocoa butter for tanning
Both summer butters combine nourishing coconut oil, shea butter, which hydrates the skin in depth, and cocoa butter, which gives them their firm texture. The golden seaweed Laminaria ochroleuca soothes the skin. Both butters contain beeswax and lanolin, so keep this in mind if you avoid animal-derived ingredients.
A tanning butter for the legs and for an autumn holiday
With Orešák, the legs, which usually tan most slowly in the sun, are easier to tan too. Pack the 150 ml jar for an October holiday by the warm sea. After returning, hydrate your skin with an after-sun body lotion.
