Key ingredient: plant keratin from hydrolysed wheat proteins
Hydrolysed wheat proteins (plant keratin)
a microprotein ingredient obtained from wheat by an enzymatic process
made up of amino acids similar to those found in hair: lysine, arginine and proline
a purely plant-based solution that replaces animal-derived keratin in cosmetics
has remarkable compatibility with the keratin in the human body
a recognised hair strengthener and protector that works straight after use
Keratin in hair
the basic fibrous protein that builds skin, nails and hair
makes up 88 % of the hair structure and is responsible for its strength, fineness, shine and overall look
in humans it occurs as alpha keratin
it also determines whether your hair is poker-straight or naturally curly
a lack of it is behind hair getting into worse condition
Microproteins that penetrate
penetrate deep into the hair, where they repair, strengthen and protect it from within
at the same time, larger molecules attach to the hair surface
penetration depends more on concentration and the number of applications than on previous hair damage
the properties are based on efficacy tests

Questions
What you ask most often
How do I use the keratin?
Add 2–3 drops to your usual amount of shampoo or conditioner. With shampoo, wash and rinse as always; with conditioner, leave it on for a while.
How long should I leave it on?
The longer, the better the effect. The optimal time in conditioner is 30 minutes, then rinse your hair.
Is it animal keratin?
No. It is a purely plant-based solution of hydrolysed wheat proteins that replaces animal-derived keratin in cosmetics.
Will it help bleached hair too?
Yes. How well keratin penetrates the hair depends less on previous damage (bleaching, perms) than on concentration and the number of applications. So regular use is what helps.
What can I add it to?
Shampoos, conditioners and hair masks. This is exactly how keratin is added to hair care cosmetics.
Won't it overload my hair with moisture?
No. Over-hydrated hair is prone to damage, which is why plant keratin is not a humectant but a moisture regulator. Hair that holds water less well with age and becomes drier and thinner will appreciate it too.
