How to take herbs for cough and bronchial tubes

The tinctures Cough No. 1, Cough No. 2, common mallow and sage are taken on an empty stomach: 20 drops three times a day, washed down with 200 ml of water. Shake the bottle before use and do not exceed the recommended daily dose. The tinctures contain alcohol and are not intended for children.

Cough No. 1 or Cough No. 2?

Both blends contain coltsfoot and differ in the other herbs. Cough No. 1 is built on common mallow, ribwort plantain and sage, Cough No. 2 on common thyme, great mullein and the root of purple coneflower.

Common mallow and sage

Common mallow (Malva mauritiana) has large purple flowers with dark veins and is valued in herbalism for its mucilage. Sage (Salvia officinalis) has a strong, spicy scent and is traditionally added to autumn tea blends. As a sage tincture it is with you even where you cannot brew a tea.

Herbs for the bronchial tubes in winter

When it is freezing outside and the heating is on at home, your airways appreciate moister air. Air the rooms briefly and regularly, put a bowl of water on the radiator and drink plenty of warm drinks, perhaps linden flower or thyme tea. Treat yourself to a walk in the fresh air and plenty of sleep too.

What to bear in mind

A food supplement is not a substitute for a varied diet. If your troubles last longer, if you take medication, are pregnant or are breastfeeding, consult a doctor or pharmacist.
